Keywords for Ketamine Clinics
When people use a search engine to find information on a topic they tend to use specific words or phrases, these commonly used terms are called keywords.
Let’s say you just open a ketamine clinic in Omaha, Nebraska.
Potential patients might enter in search queries using keywords such as:
- ketamine and Omaha
- PTSD treatment in Nebraska
- depression treatment and Omaha, Nebraska
The only way your website will ever show up in their search results is if you use these words (or close synonyms) on your website.
There are many places on your website you should be using these keywords, but for this post, I would like to focus on the single most important area you should be using your keywords—titles.
What are Titles?
Page titles are shown on the top of web browsers and search result pages. The words used in your titles tell Google what keywords are featured on your site, and by extension what your site is about.
Each page on your website has its own title, but if you don’t enter a title, the page will be given one by default. Usually, default titles are suboptimal because they often don’t contain your keywords or adequately describe the content of that page.
Instead of relying on default titles, you want to create custom titles for every page on your website.
Crafting the Best Titles for Your Ketamine Clinic
A title for the homepage of our hypothetical clinic might be “Ketamine Therapy Clinic of Nebraska – Omaha, NE”.
This headline tells Google that you:
- Are a clinic
- Providing ketamine therapy
- Located in Omaha, Nebraska
While a specialty page (you should have specific pages for every condition you treat) on PTSD could be titled “Ketamine Treatment for PTSD Treatment – Omaha, NE”.
Remember if you don’t use keywords in your titles, it will be very hard for potential patients to find you.
